THE BALVENIE: THE ART OF ARTISANAL SINGLE MALT FROM SPEYSIDE

Founded in the late 19th century by William Grant, The Balvenie Distillery is one of the oldest distilleries in Speyside, located in Dufftown, in the heart of Scotland's most iconic whisky-producing region. This world-renowned whisky is distinguished by its artisanal approach and unique production methods. To this day, The Balvenie is one of the few distilleries to carry out every stage of production in-house, from malting the barley to bottling the whisky, ensuring exceptional quality. The Balvenie is a distillery that continues to grow its own barley and malt it, a process that allows it to control every aspect of production. It is also one of the few distilleries to employ its own resident coppersmith, a craftsman responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of its stills. These stills are unique in their kind, with a specific shape nicknamed “Balvenie Ball”, allowing for greater roundness in the mixing of vapors, which results in a richer and more complex whisky.
