RUM BIELLE: THE EXCELLENCE OF MARIE-GALANTE AGRICOLE RUM
Since 1910, the Bielle distillery, nestled in the heart of Marie-Galante, has been producing exceptional agricultural rums. This unique terroir, rich in tradition and authenticity, provides ideal conditions for growing sugarcane, a monoculture ubiquitous on the island. Bielle rums are made from freshly pressed cane juice, called vesou, which is then fermented and distilled to create a pure, high-quality agricultural rum. Distillation at the Bielle distillery follows traditional methods, and the rum can be bottled as white rum or barrel-aged, giving it a unique depth and complexity. The aromatic richness of Bielle rums is achieved through ancestral know-how, which has allowed this house to earn numerous distinctions over the years. A unique aspect of these rums is that in Marie-Galante, white rum is traditionally consumed at 59% vol., offering a more intense and refined taste experience.
