Champagne Louise Brison: family heritage and biological transition
Louise Brison is first and foremost a family story, woven over four generations. From Louise's modest beginnings at the beginning of the 20th century until the arrival of Francis Brulez in 1991, the house has evolved while maintaining its loyalty to the terroir. It was under Francis's leadership that vintage champagnes aged in oak barrels made their appearance, giving new depth and a unique signature to the house's cuvées. Today, Delphine Brulez, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, carries this heritage forward with a resolutely forward-looking vision. She initiated the estate's conversion to organic viticulture in 2017, and the first certified organic vintage was produced in 2020. This transition is carried out with rigor and respect for the soil, in homage to the plot chosen by her great-grandmother over a century ago. Louise Brison champagnes embody the balance between tradition and modernity: the roundness and complexity brought by the wood blend with the natural freshness of a culture reconciled with its environment. The work on ancient terroirs and the patience of vintage aging give the cuvées a nuanced elegance, where each bottle tells the continuity of a family story. By weaving a bridge between past and future, Louise Brison, under the leadership of Delphine Brulez, asserts a lasting identity: a house that builds its prestige on authenticity, the respectability of the terroir and the desire to ensure that this adventure continues to be passed on with strength and sensitivity.
