CHAMPAGNE BEAUMONT DES CRAYÈRES: THE WINEGROWING EXCELLENCE OF CHAMPAGNE
Founded in 1955, the Champagne House Beaumont des Crayères was born from the union of passionate winegrowers from the village of Mardeuil, near Épernay, with one goal: to enhance their terroir and showcase the grape varieties that make Champagne so rich. Located in the Marne Valley, this cooperative now has 240 members and extends over an 86-hectare vineyard, mainly cultivated on northeast-facing slopes and a chalky subsoil renowned for its quality. The name of the house, "Beaumont des Crayères," refers to one of the oldest plots in the region. From their first joint harvest in 1958, the winegrowers created the "Beaumont des Crayères" brand and began to produce their champagnes with total control of the process, from pressing to disgorging, including bottle labeling. The vineyard is distinguished by a majority of Pinot Meunier (60%), complemented by Chardonnay (25%) and Pinot Noir (15%). Since its creation, Maison Beaumont des Crayères has been committed to offering quality champagnes, produced in accordance with Champagne traditions. Its nine vintages regularly win awards at international competitions and are praised by renowned guides such as Bettane & Desseauve, the Hachette Wine Guide, as well as by famous sommeliers such as Michael Edwards and Richard Juhlin. These vintages are appreciated for their elegance, finesse, and perfect expression of the Champagne terroir.
