The story of Héritiers Madkaud rum begins in 1895 in Carbet, on the northern Caribbean coast of Martinique, and spans five generations of a family descended from the emancipation of the French. From Félicien Madkaud to Stéphane Madkaud, the lineage has passionately and determinedly produced a pure cane juice agricultural rum, which has benefited from the Martinique appellation of origin since 1996. In 2007, the brand definitively took shape under the name "Héritiers Madkaud" with the cooperation of oenologist Marc Sassier to refine and tell this exceptional family story.
