Trois Rivières Rum: The Authentic Heritage of Martinique
Founded in 1660 by Nicolas Fouquet, then Superintendent of Finances to the King, the Trois Rivières Plantation is one of the oldest in Martinique. Located in Sainte-Luce, it has for centuries embodied the traditional know-how of agricultural rum, produced from sugarcane grown in clay soils and bathed in tropical waters. While distillation has not been carried out on the historic plantation since 2003, the Savalle columns of Trois Rivières, equipped with 22 trays, have continued to produce exceptional rums on the La Mauny site since 2004. The brand is distinguished in particular by the use of cane varieties such as blue cane and straw cane, offering rich and balanced aromatic profiles. Under the supervision of cellar master Daniel Baudin, voted best cellar master in the world in 2019, Trois Rivières perpetuates an authentic style, combining tradition and technical precision. The white rum from the column, with an alcohol content of between 65 and 75%, is renowned for its power and finesse, perfectly reflecting the Martinique terroir. Now part of the Campari group, the Trois Rivières brand continues to showcase the identity and cultural richness of Martinique throughout the world, while remaining faithful to its centuries-old heritage.
