RUM COLOMA: ARTISAN EXCELLENCE FROM COLOMBIA

Ron Coloma , produced in the heart of Colombia, on Hacienda Coloma, a former coffee plantation, is a true tribute to the country's history and artisanal traditions. Founded in 1959 by Don Alberto Constain Medina, the production of this rum was marked by a long struggle against the restrictions imposed by the Colombian government, which prohibited the distillation of alcohol at the time. The project began with the production of coffee and coffee liqueur under the brand name "Coloma." However, Don Alberto's dream of creating a quality rum had to wait until Colombian laws were changed. It was only after his death in 2005, when the rules governing alcohol production were relaxed, that his son, Alberto Constain Cenzano, restarted the production of liqueurs and created Ron Coloma, with the help of maestras roneras Sandra Reategui and Judith Ramirez. Ron Coloma is a high-quality molasses rum, aged in American oak barrels that previously contained Bourbon, then refined in barrels previously used to age Coloma coffee liqueur. This double maturation gives it an exceptional smoothness and balance, a tribute to its artisanal origins. This rum perfectly reflects the passion and know-how that went into its creation, creating a unique drink with an unparalleled taste.
