Ledaig Sinclair Series Rioja Cask Finish 46.3% is a bold Scotch whisky from the Tobermory distillery , the only distillery active on the Isle of Mull. The first whisky in the Sinclair series, it pays tribute to founder John Sinclair. Distilled from heavily peated barley, it was aged in bourbon casks before being refined in carefully selected Rioja wine casks from Spain's oldest and most prestigious vineyard. This peated single malt seduces with its aromatic intensity: on the nose, notes of candied orange, leather, black pepper and chocolate; on the palate, rich flavors of almond, raspberry, vanilla and cinnamon, lifted by a herbal touch and enveloped in a lingering smokiness. Tobermory Distillery , located on the Isle of Mull in the Inner Hebrides, is one of Scotland's oldest still-operating distilleries.
